I’ve said yes to God in many seasons—through Youth Ministry, switching from elementary to secondary teaching, and most recently stepping into Chaplaincy.
But the yes to coaching? That one felt different.
It came with hesitation and small steps… but it’s been the most fulfilling yes in a long time. Coaching has reshaped the way I think. It’s helped me renew my mind, grow in virtue, and recognize which thoughts are rooted in truth—and which ones are just noise.
It’s also given me something teaching couldn’t: a new way to journey with people. To hold space for their stories, ask deeper questions, and witness God’s glory in unexpected places.
I didn’t know I needed this until I found it. Coaching felt like the missing piece in my walk with God. And discovering a whole community of like-minded Catholics at @metanoiacatholic—people passionate about growth and virtue—was life-giving.
Sometimes the most powerful yeses are the quiet ones—the ones that change you from the inside out.
