Mary Lenaburg

I’m Mary Lenaburg—Catholic author, speaker, wife of 37 years, mama to two (one here, one in heaven), and living proof that God can redeem absolutely anything.

Jerry and I have walked through just about everything a marriage can face: grief, addiction, financial hardship, the long road of caregiving, and the aching silence of prayers that seem unanswered. For 22 years, we cared for our daughter Courtney, who had profound disabilities. When she went home to Jesus in 2014, it cracked our world wide open. But it didn’t destroy us. God held us together in the wreckage, even when we didn’t have the strength to hold on ourselves.

Addiction tried to steal our marriage. Grief tried to silence it. But grace had the final say.

I wrote Be Brave in the Scared and Be Bold in the Broken for every woman who's ever felt like her story was too messy for redemption. Spoiler alert: it’s not. If God can take my life—the shattered dreams, the anger, the fear, the years of resentment and regret—and turn it into a story of healing, joy, and mission, then there is always hope.

Faith isn't my side hustle—it’s the lens through which I see everything. Jesus is the reason I get out of bed in the morning, the anchor in every storm, and the only reason Jerry and I are still standing—side by side, stronger than ever.

Now, I use my voice to speak life into women who are tired, worn out, or wondering if their story still matters. I speak on stages, in parishes, and online about choosing joy, trusting God when the stakes are high, and the gritty beauty of walking through fire and coming out faithful—not perfect, but faithful.

If you’re sitting in the middle of your own mess, hear this: your story is not over. Not even close. And I’m cheering you on every step of the way.
