When I was 17, I signed a record deal in Nashville and began living my childhood dream. I toured with artists like the Backstreet Boys and Five for Fighting, had a #1 Christian song, and even performed for Pope Francis alongside Andrea Bocelli and Aretha Franklin.

But a few years ago, I felt God calling me to a different kind of adventure, one that meant leaving my label and making music for His glory alone. That decision led me to my newest project: The Way of Love, a five-song album inspired by the life and writings of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.

Saint Thérèse calls herself “a saint for sinners,” and I relate to that more than I can say. Her spirituality. This radical trust in God’s love, even in the face of failure, has become my own. One quote of hers stuck with me: “How sweet is the way of love.” That line became the heartbeat of the album.

These songs aren’t about having it all figured out. They’re about letting God love you in the middle of your mess, and choosing to love others even when it costs something. It’s a little folk, a little pop, a little throwback, and completely me.

I’ve started sharing these songs through The Way of Love Musical Presentations at women’s conferences and parishes. In these events, I get to tell Saint Thérèse’s story, sing the songs she inspired, and remind people (and myself) that we’re never too far gone for grace.
