Paul Sandoval
Hey guys, my name is Paul, and I’m just a normal lay Catholic guy from El Paso, Texas - if you’re guessing if it’s hot and dusty - you’re absolutely right, but it’s my favorite place on earth. Just 5 years ago, words like Adoration & theology didn’t exist in my life, so you can only imagine what a great venture it has been. My journey back to the Catholic Church definitely had it’s ups and downs, but it’s been nothing short of incredible.
For 4 years, maybe more, I was back and fourth between the mega church down the road and Easter Mass if I was up to it - but I always had a pure curiosity in how thinks ‘were’ and if God was actually there. When I was 19, I decided to join the music ministry at my home parish and the rest is history.
One day when I was 22, at Sunday Mass I was invited to a young adult formation group that was going to dive into “Why am I Catholic?” by the Augustine Institute & Dr. Ed Sri. Such a simple scenario for many but for me, this was EVERYTHING. Everything I had ever wondered... all the questions I had... about the world... about Jesus, were answered. Fast forward 6 years later to today, very simply I haven’t stopped giving everything I am to the Lord and His Church and I don’t ever plan on stopping.
God has placed so many people in my life over the years that have given me a full understanding as to what it means to love sacrificially, and I’m just a vessel here in front of everyone for the Holy Spirit and I don’t mind it one bit. GO OFF THEN HOLY SPIRIT!
