Dan Venezia

I am the youngest of four children, born and raised in Brooklyn by a single-parent Mother who instilled in us a love of Christ.  She left my father when I was nine years old.

During my teenage years, my faith waned, and I left the Catholic Church.

In 1993 I was drafted by the Minnesota Twins—the following year I had my first near death experience—a head on collision where I had three future visions.  In October of 1998 through the power of Our Lord, I received strength and courage to let go of the bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness that I carried toward my father. At this stage, I was Catholic in name only, I would attend mass regularly, but I was luke-warm.

In 2018, I was nudged by the Holy Spirit to speak openly about my faith. I attended a Cornerstone retreat where I had a willingness to share the Good News of Christ as I had experienced Him in my own life.

I could no longer keep it to myself.  It was overflowing, spilling out of me—living water that I couldn’t contain.

Around the same time, an old friend who happened to be the priest who married my wife and I came back from Rome where he was serving at the Vatican and back into our lives.  We quickly became Sunday regulars at his new parish in Paterson, NJ.

Then on Palm Sunday 2020 I had my second near death experience which was a battle with Covid-19.  Through a series of events, I found out that I had a spiritual mother—A Queen of Heaven and Earth, the perfect, sinless, Immaculate, Blessed Virgin Mary. It wasn’t long until I picked up the Rosary, which helped bring me all the way back home to the Church!

Now that I am all-in, I’ve received an abundance of grace.

I am a Catholic Evangelist, sharing God’s word at retreats, events, parishes and on national television and radio programs.

I am a daily communicant; I attend regular adoration and frequent confession. I am also a teacher in the OCIA program at my parish and serve on the leadership team of the Knights of the Immaculata founded by St. Maximillian Kolbe.

My wife and I fight for life every chance we get, and we pray together daily which has taken our marriage to a whole new level.

My goal in life is simple—to get my wife and my two boys to Heaven!
