Before I came back to God, my life felt empty. I was partying, drinking excessively and treating my body terribly. I didn’t have the sense of purpose I have today. There was an emptiness in my life that all of that activity simply couldn’t fill.
Meeting my fiancée, Ali, became a turning point for me. She brought me back to God, and I’ll always be grateful for the role she played in my story. Meeting the person I want to spend my life with also helped me reconnect with the faith that would change how I wanted to live.
Coming back to God gave me a reason to look honestly at the way I was living. My body, my choices, and my future started to matter to me in a different way. I began to see purpose in my life and a reason to take better care of the person God created me to be.
The biggest change has been the joy. It’s hard to put into words because I haven’t experienced anything else that compares to it. My faith has given me a joy that reaches deeper than anything I found in the world of late nights and terrible hangovers. Knowing that my life has meaning has
changed so much about how I see each day.
I’m still growing in my faith and learning what it means to live with that purpose. I don’t have every answer, but I have a relationship with God that gives me a reason to keep growing. I have something I’m deeply grateful for and want to keep building my life around.
I’m grateful to God for leading me to start ApologistAlex. I love creating faith based content and spreading the Good News!
